Point Of View

An initiative aimed at prpmoting a culture of dialgue and mutual understanding in politics, peacebuilding, and polocy-making. It involved 20 young participants aged between 18 and 25 years.

The participants are selected from a yearly 100 - 150 applicants from at least 12 universities.

The training focuses on both theoretical and practical aspects, with the use of assessment tools to measure the improvement in knowledge and skills of the participants. Policies are debated with parliamentarians, decision makers in ministries and syndicates.

Activities

1– Community activity with syndicate of Social workers
In partnership with Minister of Education Dr.Abbas Halabi on June 28 2024, at the Ministry's theater in Lebanon.
Following the debate, a roundtable discussion titled "Oppoertunities and Challenges in Educational Policies for Student Protection" was held.

2- Community activity with syndicate of Lawyers
On July 18, 2024, at the House of the Lawyer, with the attendance of MP Dr. Ashraf Beidoun, a member of the Parliamentary Administration and Justice Committee, and under the sponsorship of Beirut Bar Association President Fadi Al-Masri Following the debate, a roundtable titled "Electronic Media for Lawyers: Advantages and Risks."

3- Community activity with syndicate of Press,
On August 7, 2024 in partnership with Ministry of Information Ziad Makari, and the Syndicate of Audiovisual Media Workers at Antonine University in Baabda, focusing on condemning hate speech in media law. Following the debate, a roundtable titled “Addressing Hate Speech in Lebanese Media Law”

4- Community Activity - Parliament Visit
On the 4th of September, to understand the legislative life and its origins in Lebanon, especially the procedures and mechanisms for drafting Lebanese laws, followed by a discussion session in the General Assembly Hall . Introduction to the process of legislative proposals and bills, their approval in Parliament, and highlighting youth policies in Lebanese legislation.

5- Closer Event-
In partnership with the Minister of Information, Dr.Paul Morcos ,and in cooperation with the United Nations Information Center in Beirut (UNIC Beirut) on May 5, 2025, in Beirut -Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel, Ain El Mrayseh. The meeting addresses the demand for the establishment platforms in universities and the media to discuss youth policies through structured debates. Following the debate, a roundtable titled “The importance of dialogue platforms to discuss youth policies through debates”
