"Tashabouk for Lebanon": Trauma Support and Resilience Building

The "Tashabouk for Lebanon" project was a critical humanitarian initiative launched in response to the widespread destruction and trauma caused by the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. Recognizing the profound impact on women and children—who faced fear, displacement, and loss—the project prioritized creating a safe and supportive environment for healing.

"Tashabouk" provided effective support to those affected. The project aimed to assist displaced individuals by offering:

  • Psycho-social support sessions: Led by trained professionals, these sessions helped individuals process trauma and improve mental well-being.
  • Community workshops: These fostered social interaction and built resilience among participants.

The project began with a thorough needs assessment, followed by immediate supply distribution and ongoing support. Additionally, it engaged youth volunteers, offering them opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their communities. "Tashabouk" successfully addressed immediate needs while fostering long-term emotional healing and a renewed sense of community and hope for the future.
